For many years, she and her late husband David introduced collectors to the region’s most coveted names, winemakers, vintners and vineyards at their former boutique wine studio, 750 Wines – often well before those bottles hit the radar of the cult wine cognoscenti.
Studio 1299A is Monica’s latest private wine salon in the heart of historic St. Helena. Open by appointment only, this chic new address introduces consumers to a curated world of handcrafted, small-production labels and the people behind them. Each unique tasting experience is individually designed by the Studio team according to the client’s personal preferences.

In 2010, one year after opening 750 Wines, Monica and David Stevens were fortunate to be introduced to Sep Pirchner, whom they recruited to come join them at 750 Wines. Together, they created a new model in the wine retail space, and set the standard for curated tasting experiences the world over. Sep joined Monica at Studio 1299A upon opening in 2023 and assists Monica with the vintner partnerships, curated tastings, and business management.
